Why The Name Liberty Bible Church?
The name Liberty Bible Church is derived from the following Scripture(s): Jn. 8:36; Lk. 4:18-19; Isa. 61:1; Lev. 25:10. The inspiration behind the name Liberty Bible Church is to mirror the mission of Jesus by setting the captives free. Moreover, not only is setting the captives free imperative, but sustaining the freedom received is just as important (John 15:4-11). True liberty first is discovered from within, that is, being liberated from sin, demonic oppression, and any other encumbrance (Mk. 5:1-15; Rom. 8:2; Heb. 12:1). In essence, liberty is a means to an end. The end is to walk freely in godliness while conforming to the image of Christ (Gal. 5:13; Rom. 8:29; Rev. 12:11). As a result, the church will display holiness in society, which will have a tangible effect on culture, transforming the home, community, and nation.
